There are a lot of protected coves along the Thoroughfare for overnighting.  Expect summer homes around Seal Cove.  The Mill River area has some secluded spots.  The narrow entrance is marked with a stick and has a very strong tidal current.  I picked Perry Creek for the night.  It's a pretty channel with sections that dry out at low tide.  While this keeps the big cruisers out, in the morning I find myself high and dry for a few hours.
